Pre race routine involve a toilet?
We’ve got you covered. We’ve ordered plenty of portaloos for the event.
Will there be water stations on the route?
There will be water stations at 4 points throughout the route. Additionally, refreshments will be available to purchase at Chorleywood Working Men’s Club before and after the race.
Will there be a bag drop?
Yes, there will be an area where bags can be left, though it is recommended that you bring as little baggage as possible. Your bag tag is attached to your race number which you can tear off and attach to your bag. Bags left at own risk.
When do I collect my race pack for the Ricky Road Run?
No packs will be sent out. For registered participants, simply go to the sign-up table at the start to collect your race number (from 9:00am on the day). You will also be able to register for the event on the day.
How old do I have to be to enter the Ricky Road Run?
Runners for the 10 mile event must be aged 17 or over.
Will there be water stations?
Yes, we are planning to have 4 water stations on the route. With additional refreshments available for purchase the HQ (start/finish – Chorleywood Working Men’s Club).
Can I run with my dog?
Participants must not bring their dogs to the event, entries may be accepted for medical assistance dogs, subject to them being correctly registered and with prior approval from the Race Director.
Can I run with a buggy/pram at the Ricky Road Run?
This race is not suitable for runners with buggies/pushchairs.
Are there any prizes for the Ricky Road Run?
Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners overall for both males and females.
I’ve entered the race but can no longer come. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, entry fees are non-refundable. Entries cannot be deferred but can be transferred.
Where can I find results for the Ricky Road Run?
Your race timings will be managed and published by Racesonline.uk
I can’t/don’t want to take part, but can I still donate?
Yes, absolutely! Please visit our charities page for more information on the charities that we are supporting this year.
Do I have to do extra fundraising?
You are not required to do any extra fundraising, but we’d really like you to, and are encouraging people to raise money for WaterAid, Kitaid and Small Acts of Kindness.
I train with headphones, can I wear them during the race?
It’s not recommended that you wear headphones during the race so you stay alert to what is going on around you and hear any safety instructions from marshals and encouragement from spectators. Friendly banter encouraged!
Is there a medal available this year?

How can I share photos of my training/run?
We would love to see how you are getting on with training, and your run photos so we can celebrate with you!
